Ahava Theatre Company is a new NYC-based theatre company that aims to bring great Jewish plays to life. We look to tell stories about Jewish culture, history, and philosophy that spark conversation, break barriers, and challenge the status quo.

We are a community of artists that is dedicated to representing all sects of Judaism in a positive light.

Ahava Theatre Company is proud to be supporting International Sanctuary through our virtual production of Hello Gorgeous: Funny Folx in Concert this fall.

Our digital concert will raise awareness and funds for International Sanctuary, a nonprofit organization that empowers girls + women escaping human trafficking in growing community centers across the globe.

We at Ahava Theatre Company stand in solidarity with the Black Jewish Community and the Black community at large— including disabled, queer, and/or transgender BIPOC.

Our mission is to spark conversation, break barriers, challenge the status quo, and defy stereotypes. It is impossible to do this without standing up to injustice and white supremacy.

We commit to:

  • Deep Listening

  • Learning and Unlearning

  • Holding ourselves accountable

  • Holding others accountable

  • Moving beyond allyship and into action

As Jews, we have an obligation to Tikkun Olam: Repair the World.

In many Jewish communities all over the world Tikkun Olam has become synonymous with social action and social justice. We believe in an equitable system and justice for all.
